Great Vintage Large Heavy Duty Wooden Survey Surveying 46 Tripod Stand

  

Was probably used for various things, such as surveying or Possibly photography. It has been in a display exhibit for quite some time. Unable to locate any markings. Each leg measures 46 inches tall. The wood is grooved and is over 4 inches wide and looks to be a light oak.

It has heavy duty metal tips with foot pegs to stabilize in ground. It had a leather strap on it that held the legs together for transit but is broken due to age and only a piece remains. The threaded screw at top is movable. Please look at all pictures. The wood and metal do show normal signs of wear due to age, just normal knicks and scuffs. Wood grain is still very nice. I do not know all the specifics of the tripod such as age or origin but if you have any questions after looking at the pictures, I will definitely try and answer them.
