Lovely vintage wooden surveyors tripod stripped aluminium - american import. Nice vintage photo surveying tripod in lovely condition. Great for use with indoor lights or theatre lights. This has been stripped and lightly polished (not to a high shine so as to retain an industrial feel). Some old paint remains here and there which adds to character. Nice graphics on one leg that were retained. A little ragged but nice feel. Obviously seen some life and has a few marks and scratches to the wood work but this just adds to the character. Some damage to the metal pieces (see photos - not really noticable if using as an indoor tripod but may affect use in surveying). For the sake of the listing I point out that there are obvious signs of wear and use. There are scratches, minor dents, tarnish, chips and marks to all metal work as you'd expect on a vintage used item of this nature. All defects are consistent with age and use and adds to the appeal of the item in my opinion.
