Vintage Dietzgen surveying transit, wooden case, tripod, rods, target, metal tape

  

This is my Dad's old surveying equipment. Please read my comments above about condition. I have more photos if you want and will answer any questions to the best of my ability. I think my Dad bought the transit tripod, too?

Used after he (civil engineer) left working for Carter Oil Company in the 1950s, surveying potential oil sites in the mid-US. He then briefly co-owned a blueprint/surveying equipment shop in Little Rock. Of all the items in this grouping, the measuring rod (last picture) is in the best shape - almost new looking. The age of other items I can not place, but I'm pretty certain they are much older than that.
