This is a pair of two French primitive wooden stools. They are made of solid oak wood with three wooden legs and the seats are reinforced with an iron band around the tree slice, to prevent the seat from (further) splitting. These wooden tripod stools withstood the test of time pretty well; they are still super solid and sturdy (no wobbling), the wooden seats have splits, dark stains, cracks and grooves and the iron bands have a rusty patina. One stool measures 11.2" (28.5 cm) in diameter (seat) and 15.9" (40.5 cm) tall The other stool measures 10.8" (27.5 cm) in diameter (seat) and 16.9" (43 cm) tall.
