Rare/unusual/prototype Bolex Paillard vintage wooden tripod/head

  

An unusual tripod from Bolex, possibly a prototype. The pan and tilt locks are largehand size knobs that echo classic Bolex rear lens caps. The head sits atop a levelling ball mechanism which also incorporates a bubble level.

The tripod itself is wood, possibly a Berlebach. It has spiked feet and one of the plastic covers for these feet is currently missing. The rubber at the top of the head on which a camera sits show some damage, as do the spided feet covers.
