Vintage Spot Light Mounted on Vintage W&L. E Gurley Wooden Surveyors Tripod.

This is only the second vintage light/tripod I put together in the last three years, you just don't come across these items when searching the occasional antique store that often. Specifications, spot light as told to me came from a boat yard on the east coast, 12.5 Dia lens rear is 4.25 Dia X 14.5 long. Has data tag but mostly unreadable.

Aluminum construction with intact glass lens and reflector, bulb can adjust in and out from knob on back of light to allow for wider or narrower angle of light transmission. I have installed a 60w LED Edison style (new) bulb and will include it in the sale. Has LED compatible rotary dimmer switch mounted below the light. New cloth covered cord and vintage plug. The cast iron swivel mount is original as far as I know to the light and can rotate the light around 180 degrees or as much as the cord will allow it also is adjustable up and down.

The tripod is a Vintage W&L. Gurley surveyors transit tripod with no cracks or splits, brass hardware on the legs below the light mount and steel bands and thumb screws for leg height adjustment.

The legs are steel tipped. The tripod stands 40" tall in the picture with a total height of around 58" including the light. Out of the six thumb screw positions one thumb screw is missing and one has the screws stripped on the threaded insert, this does not hinder securing the desired leg height as we have the light on display and there are no issues.

The light and tripod were cleaned of dust and grime and it shows all the years of outdoor use, rat rod patina is on all of the bolts, nuts and mount. If you are looking for fully restored to factory new condition this is not the light for you, this one has character and charm.
