Vintage Wooden Military Surveyor Tripod
Vintage Wooden Military Surveyor Tripod. Up for sale is a vintage wooden framed tripod, believed to be a tripod made for the military. The only identifying marks are the sticker shown in the pictures. This unit is in good shape for its age, with no major damage, only minor scratches and flaked off paint on the top plate.
The only thing missing is what I believe was a leather strap used to secure the tripod in the closed position. One leg takes a little work to extend and retract, unsure why, but will move the full range up and down. May just need a little adjusting or cleaning. Tripod extends to over 70 tall.
